Increasing theft cases statewide, 8 shops looted at Kamalpur

KAMALPUR, Oct 23 (TIWN): Statewide increasing thefts, robberies have turned lives miserable. At Kamalpur in a series of robberies in same village within one night 8 shops were looted.
This incident has erupted heavy resentments among the local people of Kamalpur. All the affected people belong to Halam community of state tribals.
The incident took place at Mahadeb Bazar of Kamalpur subdivision, under Kochuchara Police Station on 21st October.
By breaking doors, cutting tins thieves entered the shops.
Out of 8 shops one shop is ration shop and othershops include grocery, vegetable shops. Getting informed police rushed to the spot but as the state lacks proper infrastructure like CCTV camera and other things, thus nothing could be done yet by police.
The affected owners of those shops are : 1) Rabindra Halam, 2) Kanchan Halam, 3) Vikashan Halam, 4) Gajan Halam, 5) Prafulla Halam, 6) Asek Halam, 7) Mangal Mir Halam, 8) Govindo Halam.
