AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): By imposing taxes, fare hikes on public BJP Govt in Tripura is far from fulfilling its Vision Document. Neither 7th Pay Commission could be given by Jishnu Debbarma led Finance Dept due to Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s immature “Zero-Deficit†budget, neither smart phone for youths could be fulfilled by BJP Govt. At the same time the whole Vision Document left untouched even after crossing 7 months but calling press conference Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced before Durga Puja fuel price down is itself “Historical Decisionâ€, whereas petrol price in Tripura under BJP Govt raised 20 rupees. Modi Govt has been marked as the first Govt whose party desperately lied with Fake Election promises before Lok Sabha Election. In case of Tripura also same happened when BJP was slamming the then Left Govt for not giving 7th Pay Commission to the Govt employees. But after winning the election with Employees and Pensioners votes, Pay Commission could not be announced on 7 months of Govt formation, whereas 10 % DA of July month is now pending left the Durga Puja season as dry. Infact puja business is still at down due to commodity price hikes and no salary hike of employees.
However, when the so called “zero deficit” budget was announced it was said that Rs. 1000 crores have been kept for employees 7th Pay Commission. 7th Pay Commission has been delayed till December, 2018 and also July month’s DA has been missed. When employees were waiting for 7th pay commission before Durga Puja, not even July month’s pending DA was given to the employees. As a result neither DA nor 7th Pay Commission was given to the employees led massive frustration among the Govt employees. Central Govt employees are protesting even after getting DA for two times recently but here in case of Tripura employees are afraid to raise voice. Resentments have been fueled among the govt employees as on Sep 10, when Strike remained 100 % successful in Tripura Govt to cut salaries of employees who failed to reach at offices on that day.
Before the election, BJP had promised to implement 7th Pay Commission for the Govt employees and the pensioners in the first cabinet meeting and from month of April they will count the hiked salary but after 7 months Verma Committee failed to submit 7th Pay Commission.
Recently Congress spokesperson Harekrishna Bhowmik has alleged, many employees are not getting salaries and massive irregular payment of salaries are going on. Both CPI-M and Congress have demanded 7th Pay Commission for the employees at the earliest.
