AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Like other years, maximum clubs this time didn't delay the immersion rather completed the 'Bisharjan' programme marking the ending of Durga puja celebration on yesterday, the day of Dashami.

Above 1500 idols were immersed on the first day.

Durga Puja 2018 remained gloom for households, specially the poor section of people as Govt didn’t provide any work at all since 7 months of it has been in power brought also a negative impact in markets statewide. At the same time commodity price hike, fuel price hike, fare hike hit the common men.

In Bijoya Dasami also the houses including middle class families budget has been merged due to huge price hike and loss in business. The pensioners neither get any Pay Matrix benefit nor the employees could know how much the salaries to be increased from next month. With all these, Dasami celebration was also marred due to the down economy.

Even though in town areas colouful pandal decorations sidelined state’s problems but footballs in main town areas from rural Tripura remained less this year, says ground report.

Also work stress increased with down economy led the state to end Durga puja in due time.
