Communist leader’s statue vandalized in Tripura, left with shoe-garland

AGARTALA, Oct 13 (TIWN): Veteran Communist leader Lt. Ranjay Roy’s statue was left with shoe-garland, face found covered with red cloth.
The incident took place at Khowai's Singhichara area in Tripura and CPI-M has blamed BJP, BJP behind this work. Around the statue BJP had put party flag since the election victory.
Resentment has brewed among the CPI-M supporters as Ranjan Roy was also a freedom fighter. The party has demanded proper investigation in this issue and urged Govt to prevent such attacks.
Earlier, Ex-Deputy CM, Lt. Baidyanath Majumder, Communist world figure Lenin's statues were demolished by BJP.
