CM's sudden visit at Police Headquarter raised eyebrows

AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's sudden visit at Police Headquarter on Friday has raised questions.

However, when spotted by media, CM denied to give any statement but said that this visit was to discuss on the law and order during Durga puja. 

Recently the BJP Govt has undergone multiple jolts of restarting of Daily-Desher-Katha newspaper, Agartala Press Club's illegal members termination who backed CM Biplab Deb, loss of Govt employees vote banks with its failure to give 7th Pay Commission.

CM entered police headquarter at around 4 pm and for half an half hour CM stayed at there, but when came out he didn't entertain media and sidelined the questions mentioning about Durga puja time's law and order were discussed, planned. 

Chief Minister Biplab Deb is also holding Home Ministry.

It can be noted here that Law and Order is taking a deteriorating shape in Tripura with 12 murders in a month has been reported by State Police data.

However, crime records earlier was also same as in 2014, 2015, 2016 also 12 murders per month were recorded whereas in 2017 it downed at 10 murders per month. But again in 2018 it has increased at 12.

This year from January to August month 93 people have been killed. From March (under new Govt) to August month total 71 murders took place. 

March : 15 murders,  April : 9 murders, May : 6 murders,  June : 15 murders, July : 13 murders, August : 13 murders.

This data also reveals a spike in murder rates under BJP era with tensed situation since June month. At the same time other crimes as theft, kidnapping, rape incidents are also increasing.
