KAMALPUR, Sept 22 (TIWN):Preparation for ensuing Durga Puja is at the final stage in this subdivision. It is a fact that the familiar blue sky is not trumpeting the message of festivity. Inspite the cloudy sky and shower is reminding of rainy season in this autumn. But the preparation is at full swing and man is fighting to welcome Goddess Durga with all the possibilities and potentialities of good. Though big budget Pujas are few but still now the rhythm of life and hospitality still can be felt at the pandals here.

  According to police total 108 pujas are being organized in the subdivision including all three police stations. Under Kamalpur P. S. 64, under Salema P.S. 23 and under Kachucherra P.S. 21 pujas have registered so far with the police.

YOUTH RECREATION CORNER:- This Puja at Old Motorstand in the subdivisional headquarter of Kamalpur is tradionally  the most attractive and grand Puja of the District. This year too, this Puja is going to be the eye-candy. The Secretary of Puja Committee Mr. Sanjib Ghosh Sarkar told TIWN that this year their budget is 7,00,000 rupees. Main attraction will be 108 idols of Goddess Durga and other gods and prominent personalities. Shibaprasad Kamila of Midnapore is making idols. Shankar Debnath of Nabadwip is making the Pandal. Local electrician Uttam Ghosh is doing the lighting.  Sit and draw competition will be held tomorrow. Orchestra will electrify the happiness of Puja for three days, added Sanjib.

APANJAN CLUB:- This club of Noagaon Chowmuhani is known for gorgeous Puja with local artists. This year their budget is 4,00,000 rupees. Idols are being made by the local artist Ranajit Bhattacharjee. Local artist Samir Das is making the pandal. Uttam Ghosh is appointed for lighting works. The Secretary of Puja Debasish Das informed that  grand cultural programs will be held during the Puja days.

YUBA SAMAJ:- It is at the middle of the town. Anjan Brahma is the Secretary. He told TIWN that their budget is 2,50,000 rupees. Pandal and lighting will be done by local S. B. Electric. Goutam Pal of South Manikbhander is making the idol. Orchestra will add to the joy for last two days.

AZAD HIND:- This is the oldest Puja of the Subdivision. Since 1959 this club is organizing Puja. This year their budget is 2,00,000 rupees. They are celebrating the Puja with all local artists. It is to be mentioned that, their budget for first budget was merely 200 rupees.

DEAR CLUB:- This Puja is celebrating the festival this year with grand lighting and cultural program. Their lighting and pandal is working out local artist Partha Sen. Idol is being made by Subodh Pal. Secretary Arjun Sarkar informed that their budget is 3,00,000 rupees.

LAXMINARAYAN CLUB:- This organizer of Fulchari has set the budget 4,00,000 rupees. Local artist Samir Das is making the Pandal. Local potter Subodh Pal is making the idol. Puja Secretary Pradip Ghosh informed TIWN.
