AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): Tripura Ex-CM Manik Sarkar's wife, social worker Panchali Bhattacharjee has slammed the ruling BJP for forcing Anganwadi, Asha Employees to walk in rallies hanging Modi's photos on bodies.
She also said, if anybody denies to go in rallies regardless girls and women with slang language the BJP activists abuse them.
"It's really shameful that Anganwadi, Mid-day-meal employees are being forced to walk with Modi's photos when only Rs. 2000 rupees have been hiked for them but it was in demand that the wages must be given at Rs. 18,000", she added.
Panchali Bhattacharjee further said that she is also proud of public response during "Hartal" on Sep 10, when a successful strike was observed without any propaganda by Left Parties, saying, "Public displayed their anger on the BJP govt on Sep 10".
The press conference was held by CITU demanding wages of Anganwadi / Asha employees at least Rs. 18000 per month observing the price hikes countrywide.
