AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): On the occasion of 'World Pharmacy Day' Tripura Health Minister Sudip Barman said that till day pharmacists are deprive of getting their credibility, as neither they get recognition nor they get deserved salaries.

While addressing at Nazrul Kalakshetra, the Health Minister told the Pharmacists, "It's your day, who are the experts of Medicine and I have no doubt on that. The fact of the matter is the pharmacists who are the real achievers I believe they are not getting that much of name and fame in-spite of their tremendous works".

"To be precised, their (pharmacists') credits are actually hijacked by doctors. I know that Dr Dilip Das (BJP MLA who was also sitting at the dais) will be reacting very harshly to my claim, but it's fact that the way pharmacists are working silently, researching and inventing new drugs to save even poor patients with low priced medicine, the proper value to you (the Pharmacists) are not being given. We all know good doctors' names but don't recognize the silent hardwork of the pharmacists", said Barman to the pharmacists sitting before the stage. 

"How many pharmacists' name do we know ? Hardly we know about the companies names, but when the medicines are coming in the market and doctors prescribe it, they are prescribing according to the instruction given by you (Pharmacists). So the whole credit goes to you(Pharmacists) for which patients are being recovered and Dr Dilip Das like Doctors are taking the credibility", said Barman.
