Tripura SSA teachers to go in protest demanding salary hike

AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): As over a year, salaries of SSA teachers have not been increased, the teachers have decided to go in massive protest demanding salary hike.

It has been more than a year that SSA employees salaries were not hiked, whereas all state regular employees of Tripura had got 2.25 from 1st April 2017

But even after 6 months of completion, the new government is not increasing any single paisa salary.

Talking to the SSA teachers, they mentioned, “Our fate is still remains same but SSA teacher's are trying give quality education that is why 100 day's reading skill programme doing all over the district of Tripura so that children can read and write by himself/herself within the 100 days”.

Not only that the SSA employees who have expired, from State Govt no help was done to the teachers, no death benefit has not been given by the government.

On the other side, Assam govt has already been given 34 expired SSA teacher's family to 5 lakh.

“Elementary Department of Tripura Govt is totally depending on SSA employees but this employees are always deprived. All SSA employees are totally disappointed and dissatisfied. Even SPD UK Chakma does not want to meet the SSA employees”, said the SSA teachers.

Now,teachers are planning to go mass movement against the government if the SSA employees fundamental demands are not fulfilled in soon.
