AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Preparations are on peak for Durga Puja celebration across state's clubs. Lal Bahadur Club on Thursday has started the preparation of pandal with puja, the traditional ritual.
Artisans are busy in making Durga idols in Agartala and other places. Orders for idols have already given to the Artisans by various clubs.
This year Durga puja to be started from October 15 and to be ended on October 19.
Various pre-bookings for puja season as beauty parlour have been kicked off, whereas designers already taken works in hands.
Durga Puja, also called Durgotsava, is an annual Hindu festival in the Indian subcontinent that reveres the goddess Durga. Durga Puja is believed to be the greatest festival of the Bengali people.
In Bengali populated Tripura, Durga Puja is celebrated grandly, however, among all these puja ‘donations’ make people to suffer.
