AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): Two lady employees who had been working as contractual staffs as clerks under Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) were terminated suddenly saying ‘fund crisis’.
AMC is an autonomous body funded by State Govt. These two women Mandira Das, Sucharita Datta said that even after working since years they were told ON yesterday verbally not to come anymore in the office as their sections do not have ‘no fund’.
Surprisingly, whereas the women were working as clerks but record says they were kept under sweep section.
However, Mandira Das was appointed immediately after her father passed away whereas Sucharita Datta was appointed after her husband died.
Locals said, Former Councilor Fulan Bhattacharjee had directly appointed these two women after their families’ main earners died and they continued working but suddenly why they were terminated it’s beyond understanding.
