AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Terming Assam, Manipur like states have always been anti-Bengali, Amra Bangali has written a letter to the President of India on Thursday and handedover the letter to the West District DM.
1) According to Indian constitution a person living for 5 years in a country is an Indian citizen but based on 1971 the implementation of NRC is beyond humanity and logic,
2) Ex-PM Late Jawharlal Nehru assured that whenever minority will come in the state, Govt will accept them, but this promise is being maintained only in case of Punjab,
3) In 1953 it was said that British led cut Bengali populated areas will be joined and a greater Bengal will be created, but it's also remained as an empty promise,
4) Ex-Assam CM Gopinath Bordoloi himself was an anti-Bengali and in open rallies he said that Assam is only for Assamese. Same trend is going on in Assam,
5) In Manipur a bill was passed on NRC based on 1951 and when Bengalis protested police shot them left over 100 injured, 6 heavily injured for life and one girl died,
6) Now in Assam for the Detention camp more Rs. 46000 crores were released, where inhuman tortures are going on, alleged Amra Bangali leaders.
With all these points the Bengali backed agitators wrote to the President to look into the matter on humanitarian ground.
