AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): Politburos Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechury have arrived here in Tripura on Friday aimed to boost the party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

A State Committee meeting was started at Melarmath led by Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechury, Manik Sarkar and other state level leaders present at there.

The meeting to be held for a day, to discuss regarding state related issues including upcoming plans and programmes for the party.  

The decision of the meeting is expected to be announced by the Party Secretary of Tripura unit Bijan Dhar once the meeting ends.
