Agartala / Churaibari, Aug 23 (TIWN): With a major breakthrough, North Tripura Police have seized heroin worths at least Rs. 1 crores from Churaibari gate.

The heroin was caught from a bus named ‘Sapna Night Super’ bearing No AS01JC8042 which was going towards Agartala from Guwahati.

One person has been detained named Tapan Datta, S/O-Prafulla Datta, resident of Kamala Sagar.

Such raw materials were never found in Tripura earlier, said Police Head of the District, Bhanupada Chakraborty.

The arrested person was involved in this business since a year and those drugs were bought from Guwahati Paltan bazaar.

In a separate drive in Damchara Rs. 10 lakhs of heroin was seized. The arrested person at there is Ninghir Tripura.
