AGARTALA, Aug 16 (TIWN): Congress will observe Civil Disobedience Movement on August 27.

In a press conference, Tripura congress President Birjit Sinha has announced on Thursday.

As it is a ‘disobedience movement’, so the Congress President has said no police permission will be sought in this regard. This movement will be a part of Congress’s protest against the increasing attacks under BJP Govt along with other burning issues including party offices’ bulldozing.

“In Post Office Chowmuhani, at least 5000 youths will gather. We know many obstacles will be created to stop the agitators but then also at least 5000 youths will be able to gather on that day. From there a rally in total non-violence mode will be proceeded towards the DGP Office. The non-violence will be according to the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi. Thus the protest will be named as “Ahingsha Ain Amanyo Andolon”.

At 12.30 pm the rally will be started and at the same time at Agartala Airport National Youth Congress President Keshab Chandra Yadav and other National leaders will be welcomed with a massive bike rally, said Birjit Sinha.

“We appeal the youth to join in the democratic protest. On the one side it will be Bharat-Bacaho-Andolon and on the other side it will be voice against Tripura BJP’s misrule in Tripura as here democracy is no longer existing”, he said.
