Relaxation for 10323 Teachers spikes resentment among 7 lakhs unemployed youths  : No development yet on Tripura’s SSA employees regularization

AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): To save illegally recruited 10323 teachers, the BJP Govt is ready to take up all kinds of possible measures by managing relaxation for the teachers or fight the Supreme Court against the verdict of Supreme Court. On Thursday, State Govt announced about eight overaged teacher’ regular appointment among 10323 teachers who are right now working on ad-hoc basis. The decision has erupted resentments among the unemployed youths and also the ruling party supporters as the 10323 teachers begged their jobs with CPI-M’s quota and thus their jobs are cancelled both by High Court and the Supreme Court. On the other side, Tripura Govt even after four months of govt formation, yet to discuss about regularization of govt employees who are working since decades under the state govt. However on Saturday Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, each and every promises of the Vision Document to be fulfilled within 5 years which people have given the Govt.BJP in its Vision Document point no-10 had promised as soon as the party comes in power all the contractual employees to be regularized, but when the Chief Minister was asked in the Assembly held in June month’s ending about the issue, he replied the regularization will be only held after proper review. Moreover, state govt hasn’t kept any fund in budget for their regularization.

When SSA, RMSA, NHM contractual employees are waiting to be regularized,Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb in Assembly data, on June 25 has made Govt’s stand clear that regularization of contractual employees will be done only after proper surveys. This denial was unexpected by the contractual employees, who altered the CPI-M Govt in hope to be regularized.

Tripura SSA, RMSA teachers have met Chief Minister Biplab Deb on June 22 in demand of regularization and relaxation in marks and qualification. A team representing SSA, RMSAteachers placed two sets of demands before the Chief Minister to draw his attending in their long pending demand. In a letter, SSA teachers led by Secretary of ‘Tripura SSATeachers Welfare Association’ met CM at his residence with 7 demands.

Their demands are :

1) Regularization of all teaching, non-teaching staffs

2)Demand of granting all financial benefits to all employees working under SSA

3) Demand of abolishing the process of continuous of tenure of service and removal of discrepancy in payment of salary of non-teaching staffs of SSA

4) Demand of solution of the discrepancy observed in the secondary level examinations held under NIOS

5)Demand of making provisions for the Die-In-Harness scheme under SSA

6) Demand of making provisions for availing loans under SSA

7) Demand of introduce of child-care-leave in SSA.

The RMSA staffs who are working since 2011 have placed their own demands in a separate demand-draft. Their demands are : 1) Regularization, 2) As not all the teachers have B.Ed degrees and needful marks in graduation, so the teachers have requested the Chief Minister to consider the issue by managing relaxations by talking with the HRD Minister, 3) Equal salaries like state govt employees.
