AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): After Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb during Haj Bhawan’s inauguration programme at Agartala said, “Manik Sarkar was playing role as Dhritarashtra in illegal smuggling and passed his 20 years of Chief Ministry by smuggling ganja and phensedyl to neighboring Bangladesh to destroy the Muslim youths at there”, opposition CPI-M has come with massive reactions.

CPI-M leader, Ex-Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar said, “As the Chief Minister he should have basic knowledge that the border is guarded by BSF, which totally comes under the Central Govt and also the Narcotic issues are dealt by the Central Govt by agency like customs”.

“As Biplab Deb never stayed in Tripura and in childhood he left the state so he doesn’t know about the state at all. Tripura Govt each year burnt ganja plants, destroyed massive ganja nurturing, whereas under the preset govt only packets of ganja are seizing”, Pabitra Kar said.

Another CPI-M leader said, “What Biplab Deb said about Manik Sarkar it shows his downed mentality of him. People know who is Manik Sarkar”.
