AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): In parallel with the Left parties protest at New Delhi, Tripura CPI-M has also organized rallies in various parts of Tripura on Tuesday. A mass gathering led by CPI-M supporters over thousand people was observed in Agartala as a part of the national protest. Addressing in a rally in front of Rabindra Bhawan, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, “Everywhere money extortion is going on under BJP Govt. People are attacked, killed. What kind of ruling is this where Minister himself involves in mob-lynching by spreading rumours and after killing of innocents CM says it’s opposition’s "Intrigue". Why there was no suo moto case filed against the Minister ?”. Hitting Yuva Morcha leader Jaylal Das’s remark who asked BJP activists in a conference at Sabroom held on July 22 evening, to break hands and legs of CPI-M Bijan Dhar said, “Will such kind of threat work out in each Election ? Will murders diminish people’s hunger ? State doesn’t have work, people are dying in poverty but on the other side, Viswa Hindu Parishad leader is threatening BJP MLA not to interfere in Hinduism”.

The CPI-M leader further called CPI-M activists to take an oath to unseat BJP in democratic manner and to ‘Save Tripura’ from RSS, BJP.

On the other side, 5 Left Parties have staged demonstration today in front of the Parliament (Parliament street) before the beginning of the session with a huge numbers of leftist supporters led by top leaders as Sitaram Yechury, from Tripura Manik Sarkar.

Inside the Parliament MP Jiten Choudhury, MP Jharna Das, MP Shankar Prasad Datta and other MPs of Left Parties from other states had participated in the ‘dharna’. When MPs were protesting, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) also joined from behind saying ‘We want Justice’.

West Bengal CPI-M MP Muhammad Selim said, “Since 6 years at West Bengal no democracy is existing under Trinamool regime. There are constant attacks upon people on the basis of case, creed. In Tripura under the recently made BJP Govt same violence is being repeated”.

While addressing media at the Parliament Street, CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said, “In West Bengal there are constant violence, division on the basis of religions and parties going on. Country facing mass butchery under the BJP, RSS ruling. This is not democracy".
