KAMALASAGAR, July 22 (TIWN): Border haats were visited by India and Bangladesh officials on Sunday here in Tripura.
The visit had started from Tarapur-Kamalasagar border, lined with Tripura's Spahijala District.
From Bangladesh side, Home Dept official of Bangladesh Abdul Safik was present along with Brahman Baria SDM Hasina Islam, Regional Commandant of BGB Sarali Jahid Hassan.
From Indian side, Bhupen Singh Balla, Add Secretary of Northeast Home Affairs and other Govt officials were present.
It was discussed whether the Border haats can be increased and run for atleast 2 days in a week. Also discussion was held to boast Hilsa business at Haats.
Few places were spotted as heavily flood affected. The officials also visited flood affected places under haats.
