AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Swapan Debbarma who saved thousands of lives on May-15 by stopping a train before accident here in Tripura, likely to get a job in the Sports Dept under state govt.

Already proceeding in this regard has been started. Earlier, it was said that state govt will arrange a job for him under Railway Dept, however, in any dept but of Swapan Debbarma gets a job it will be helpful for his family who are surviving under heavy poverty.

Tribal Welfare Dept had already helped Swapan Debbarma’s family with Rs. 50,000.

Swapan Debbarma saved passengers from train accident by stopping the train before it met a major accident during flood and landslide period in state.

Ambassa to Agartala Railway track was identified as damaged, Swapan Debbarma with big leaves and his clothes signaled the train to stop and in this way he saved thousands of people’s lives.

After that few young passengers posted Swapan Debbarma’s photo in social media which made him popular overnight for his good work and sharp brain.
