NEC demands building of ‘Iconic Students’ from Northeast

AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb in 67th Northeast Council Plenary meeting raised the issue of “Iconic Students”, while talking about “Iconic Institutes”.

CM said, “It would take time to for iconic institutes for come up in the Northeast India but our students must be given opportunity to witness the best Educational institutes in India by undertaking regular tours on the lines on such tours organized for Jammu & Kashmir”.

State Govt press release said, all the members highly appreciated the issue with Rajnath Singh, Chairman of NEC, assured positive consideration to be made by NEC for ensuring its implementation.

The meeting was organized under the Chairmanship of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, attended by 8 Northeast states’ CMs and Governors.
