AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): After CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury hit the ruling BJP on Sunday for the ongoing killing, violence, terror and mob-lynching in state BJP state leader Pratima Bhowmik counterattacked Yechury saying, ‘Tripura has no violence and no terror’. Hitting Yechury for mentioning about ‘Four comrades died’, Pratima Bhowmik said, “Why didn’t he talk about CPI-M era’s murders including their own killed Minister Bimal Sinha ? Tripura experienced no political murder under BJP govt, rather CM has zero-tolerance against murders. The CPI-M who are crying for Tapas Sutradhar he himself was a corrupt leader and after his death Rs. 17 lakhs were recorded in his account. He used to sell jobs to people. Not only this, the person who has been arrested in this crime himself is a CPI-M leader”.

Tapas Sutradhar was a member of Panisagar subdivisional member, and Ex-District level member, was killed brutally on June 18 night. His dead body was recovered with deep injuries.Pratima Bhowmik further claimed, in lynching case the persons who were arrested all are CPI-M supporters. On the other side, CPI-M has claimed, all arrested people are strong BJP or IPFT supporter.

Pratima Bhowmik further claimed, Yechury as a “liar” and condemned the plan of CPI-M who are going to protest in front of Parliament with Tripura-violence issue. Bhowmik said, it’s a plan to defame Tripura.

Noteworthy, Sitaram Yechury on Sunday addressing in a press conference at Melarmath Party office has announced that on July 24 ahead of Parliament session’s beginning, a mass agitation will be oranized in front of the parliament to draw nation’s attention on Tripura-lynching, breakdown of Law & Order.

 “It’s RSS/BJP which is patronizing the terror and violence in this area. So central committee of CPI-M has decided that we will organize a national level protest in this issue in front of the Parliament when the Parliament session begins, which will be organized by the Left Parties together against the murderer of democracy in Tripura & West Bengal”, Yechury added.

Reacting over the agitation progarmme, BJP said, “It’s an intrigue to defame Tripura’s name”.
