Tripura schools having less than 10 teachers in average : Only 9,022 out of 41,912 teachers are trained

AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Along with teachers crisis, Tripura schools are suffering majorly due to lack of qualities among the teachers as maximum teachers remained 'untrained'. From Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s speech delivered at Sukanta Academy on Sunday a data has come out which shows Tripura schools are having 9.5 teachers in average i.e. less than 10 teachers in a school. Ratan Lal Nath was addressing in a seminar at Sukanta Academy conducted by ‘Tripura Govt Educational Officers Association’ where discussion was held on the present Educational scenario in Tripura. Addressing the programme, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “Total 4385 numbers of schools, state Tripura has right now whereas the teachers numbers are 41,912”. Nath also said, “Out of 41,912 teachers 9022 teachers are trained whereas 32890 teachers are untrained”.The Minister further quoted, “Education is the top priority of the present govt. Quality Education is utmost necessary for building of the generation. Without quality Education, our state’s youths can never face the race at national level”.

Ratan Lal Nath also laid importance on the overall development of each student.
The Minister recently made few surprise visits in Tripura’s various schools and caught the teachers in slumber in many schools. Education dept is right now also taking various actions against teachers on the basis of their negligence in duties.
