AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): BIplab Deb led BJP Govt losing its unholy war on media bashing as State media exposed lies of Ministers. Even though DGP A K Skhula on Wednesday threatened State media openly at Police Headquarter to stay away from rumour mongering without asking media what was the source of their news, but the video has become viral now where the Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath himself became orator of ‘Kidney snatching incident’. Minister Ratan Lal Nath was speaking in live telecasts where he was not only talking about kidney stealing but also described an international kidney racket episode.
Generally print media gets the information from voice recording or phone call information from spot visitors but now the video which could be collected by opposition CPI-M has become viral. TIWN condemn such attempt of BJP Govt and state police for maligning media, which is called as the fourth pillar of democracy.
Media play hug role to help people to get their rights but BJP Govt yet to honour media’s neutrality and unbiased reporting. After the video has become viral, question raises, what action DGP A K Shukla will take against his Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath for delivering wrong statement ?
Shame on Biplab Deb led BJP Govt who instead of doing apology sent Police Chief to show his anger upon media which is also exposing police’s failures in catching kidnappers.
CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar, Congress State President Birjit Sinha both have condemned the mean attempt of BJP Govt.
Condemning the rumours spread by BJP Ministers, Congress Chief Birjit Sinha said, “It was none other than the Chief Minister himself who is responsible for the total rumour. On the other side, Law Minister cum local MLA Ratan Lal Nath said, such crimes are linked with international mafia of organ selling. So, who spread the rumour first ?”
