AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): On Tuesday night one rickshaw driver named Kalipada Chakraborty was beaten heavily by miscreants, who were covering their faces with black colour cloths. However, no major injury was reported by Doctor and on Wednesday he was released from hospital. Talking to media, the injured person said, “I was returning my home from town in my rickshaw. Suddenly two miscreants who were covering their faces with black coloured cloths gheraed my rickshaw in a lonely place and started beating me heavily. As they covered their faces with black coloured clothes, so I couldn’t identify them. I do not have any enemy in life also, neither I am linked with any political partyâ€.A complaint has been lodged at Ranir Bazar police station but as the victim failed to give any clue, there is no development in this issue.
When he was screaming, the miscreants left in a bike. The number of the bike also couldn’t identify.
The incident held at Bankumari area at around night 10 pm. Via bypass road Kalipada Chakraborty entered and when he was at Bankumar, that incident took place.
