TYF, TSU protest Tiwpraland demand raised by IPFT

AGARTALA, September 10 (TIWN): Both Tribal Students Union (TSU) and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF), collaborated organizations of the CPI (M) held a mass rally at Swami Vivekananda Ground here today. The main purpose of the rally was to showcase them and to represent that they have made a better Tripura. The CPI(M) and the other left parties also supported the rally.

Amal Chakraborty, Secretary ,DYFI, State Branch, Minister of Forest , Govt. of Tripura, Naresh Jamatia, Bajuban Reang, Former , MP along with other party members were present during the event.Amal Chakraborty added in his statement that , they have spiritedly run  the Government till date and as a boomerang tone of the August 23rd 2014s mass protest and demonstration/rally by the opposition they had organized today’s rally.

Naresh Jamatia expressed on his speech that, the opposition has tried a lot to cut off their vote banks but till now not succeeded . He also said that, the opposition parties have befooled their children’s in return of a vote. He also criticized the other parties in such a manner that, ‘They have done nothing for the state, only tried to deprive the common people’.

On Tuesday, Addressing the media at the Agartala Press Club here this evening, IPFT president NC Debbarma said that every party had right to hold conventions and raise democratic demands. Any effort to stop IPFT from doing so would be attempts at impeding the spirit of the Constitution of India, he said.

Debbarma launched a scathing attack on the state’s ruling Left Front government and said, “It is not a good sign on the part of the government. Every party has right to hold conventions. We have organized a central rally on last August 23.Then why they are trying to compete with us by organizing convention?”

Later, NC Debbarma also alleged that the CPI (M) party and its frontal wings are spreading rumours to malign the IPFT. 

“The CPI (M) party is trying to influence the people by spreading propaganda of a separate statehood.  We never sought for independent Tripura. We just want to upgrade the TTAADC in full fledged manner,” said Debbarma.

The party also criticized a recent statement of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar where he labeled the Indigenous People’s Party of Twipra as CIA agent. IPFT chief NC Debbarma and demanded the government to prove all allegations with verified documents.
