AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Second day of Tripura Assembly heated up with controversies centering Ex-CM cum opposition leader Manik Sarkar skipped the Assembly. Ruling BJP raised question, what kind of opposition leader Manik Sarkar is who can’t be present in the Assembly ? At the very beginning, ruling BJP MLA Atul Debbarma raised question, why Manik Sarkar has not uploaded any contact number in his MLA profile. Fueling more, Minister Sudip Barman said, not only contact number but Manik Sarkar also didn’t declare his father’s name in his MLA profile and there is no record about his parents. Sudip Barman said, “Why only contact number, public alleged Manik Sarkar also does not declare his mother and father’s names”.Reacting over the attack upon Manik Sarkar who is right now Panisagar, opposition CPI-M MLAs started arguments and soon walked out of the Assembly. CPI-M MLA Badal Choudhury said, “How a person can be attacked with personal issues in this Assembly openly in the presence of Speaker ?”

Badal Choudhury also raised question whether any democracy is existing in Tripura. In last two decades no personal attack was held upon anybody in this Assembly.

CPI-M MLA Tapan Chakraborty added, the ruling leaders have crossed all limits of basic culture. MLA Sudhan Das slammed the ruling parties accusing them as murderer of culture and democracy.

On the other side, BJP leaders were charging, what kind of opposition leader Manik Sarkar is, who stays far from the people by not using any phone. If all are bound to talk to the people, what makes Manik Sarkar different ?

Soon, the opposition walked out of the Assembly alleging Ex-CM Manik Sarkar was attacked personally.
