AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): Even though BJP led state govt is silence over the insults done to Ex-CM Manik Sarkar at Dhalai District along with BJP leader’s taunting for calling Sarkar as “Non-senseâ€, BJP Minister Sudip Barman has cited example of ‘cultured politics’ and how it should be rather than only revengeful attitudes of the BJP local leaders. After Gandacherra incident where Tripura Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar faced BJP, IPFT led blockade and ‘Go Back’ slogan, Health Minister Sudip Barman on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day said, “Good works shall always be remembered and applauded". Barman added further he is honoured to take Manik Sarkar’s name in this official occasion.
Addressing on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day at Rabindra Bhawan on Thursday, Barman said, “The blood crisis is a big challenge before us and how to mitigate blood crisis in blood banks should be in focus”.
“The blood donation high percentage’s momentum was picked up before few years and standing on this stage I am remembering our Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for bringing revolution with the young generation and pushing them voluntarily donate blood”, he said.
“His good works should be continuous process”, added Barman reminding the blood donation percentage has been badly downed this year.
"And, I have courage to take Manik Sarkar’s name and honoured to dedicate his name in this official occasion who brought revolution in Tripura and motivated the state’s youths to participate in blood donation camps voluntarily", said Barman.
In this current year, blood donation rate up to March 31st, 2018 is 82.80 %, whereas in last year (2016-17) it was 94.93 %.
