AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): With the initiatives of the BJP led State Govt, unique Queen Pineapples of Northeast state Tripura have started first ever journey for Dubai on Sunday.

Since the beginning, Tripura's new Govt was focused to export Tripura’s queen pineapple to outside especially meant to be served in 5 star hotels of foreign as well as India at high prices. 

A deal was done with a Dubai based company.

Today from Nagichara area, which is famous for pineapple cultivation ‘Queen Pineapples’ have been exported.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy flagged off the first ever journey from there.
