AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): Tripura Congress on Saturday jumped for publicity with various dramatic activities as pulling cars with ropes.
After the Pakoda rally, this is the second road-show led by the Congress activists which drew much attention at the Agartala City. The pulling of cars with ropes was to symbolize the hiked fuel price of fuel in state and across the country.
While addressing media ahead of launching the protest rally Congress state President Birjit Sinha said, “This protest is a part of opposing the attitude of the BJP Govt which before the Election did various fake promises to the people. Protests have been conducted across the country and on behalf of Tripura Congress also we are staging the demonstrations under National Congress President Rahul Gandhi”.
A rally was conducted from state Congress headquarter at 12.15 pm in Post Office Chowmuhani.
The issues of the protest are many as fuel price, corruption, unemployment, false promises like Rs. 15 lakh to each account etc.
However, the 4th anniversary of Modi Govt received mixed response and both positive and negative remarks have been received about Modi Govt led Governance.
