AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): Tripura Congress to go on a massive protest on May 26, declaring the day as ‘Traitors Day’, on the 4 years of completion of the NDA Govt centre.
In a press conference held at the Congress Bhawan on Thursday, Congress state President Birjit Sinha said, “This protest will be a part of opposing the attitude of the BJP Govt which before the Election did various false promises to the people”.
“This protest will be conducted across the country and on behalf of Tripura Congress will also stage the demonstrations under National Congress President Rahul Gandhi”, he said.
A rally will be conducted from state Congress headquarter at 11 am in post office chowmuhani and in DM, SDM offices the activists of Congress will stage the protest.
The issues of the protest will be fuel price, corruption, unemployment, false promises like Rs. 15 lakh to each account etc.
