Scam tainted School Education Dept target scapegoats : Central Govt needs to audit misuse of RMSA funds
PHOTO : An example of corruption on how Govt can order all Schools to buy private books by misusing RMSA central funds to help a certain publisher

AGARTALA, Sept 6 (TIWN): Unfortunately, plans to cover-up corruption is not working as planned by concerned officials after suspending Dy Director Ambalika Datta, who was suspended after news of June 2 Govt order to all Schools in Tripura to purchase books from a private publisher (written by CM, CS) by using Central RMSA funds. Corruption needs nexus and co-ordination among all like minded parties. Among corrupt kingpins in Education Dept, politically connected cashier Arnab Chakraborty's criminal act of check forgery and withdrawl of Rs 11.72 Lakhs from Tripura State Co-operative Bank on 3rd September raises many questions of underground corruptions. It is learnt that Dy Director Ambalika Datta has become the target of political bosses, higher ups in Dept ever since she started protesting strongly against cashier Arnab Chakraborty's wrongdoings.

A well known land mafia Arnab Chakraborty hardly comes to his office twice or thrice a month ; rather he operates his business from Kolkata. The next question raised by Memarnath is why suggestions have been sought about RMSA fund? The source said that it is because of the fact that RMSA has adequate funds of Rs 10000/- per school a year in procuring books. As such Dilip Debbarma was asked to brief about the funds. But TIWN sources add, " Even Dilip Debbarma was not interested to issue the order. But the Director sent a letter to him saying , "... ...  matter was discussed, so issue order to DEOs to procure books." Only after this, D K Debbarma issued such a controversial order. And it is learnt that even D K Debbarma had kept a copy of the instruction addressed to him by the Director.

And after the suspention of Dy Director Ambalika Datta, Dilip Debbarma, a well known anti-Left group official is on the way to be the next victim of the scam. A very close family sources of the suspended Deputy Director said, " We have already suggested her to appear before the High Court challenging the suspensation order. And once she returns to Tripura, final decision will be taken. In order to protect the images of two top most persons of the state govt(read CM & CS) School Education Department is making junior officials scape goats. "  A section in the Melarmath has raised the question, " Dilip Kumar Debbarma has issued the order and Ambalika Datta has been suspended at a time when she is out of station taking a 30 day leave from Director P K Chakraborty in order to stand by her only son who is now in hospital. Is it justified? " Again Ambalika Datta is a junior official and her only fault might be that she did not remain present before the Audit Team but that too is null and void as she has gone out of the state with valid permission. The question is what is the motive of the Govt machinery ?

Now its the wake-up call for Government whether to encourage these organized corruptions or come out clean for the people of Tripura ?

Process of auditing RMSA funds, misuses needs to begin by central authorities soon.
