AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Amid 8 lakhs unemployment, confusions have erupted among a section of unemployed youths whether there will be also viva tests in case of Group-C and Group-D recruitment and the answer is ‘No’. Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath told media, “In case of Group-C, Group-D recruitment, interviews should be completely abolished. No physical interview will be existing anymore in case Group-C and Group-D recruitment. But there are viva-tests under TPSC in case of Group-A and Group-B recruitment, but from now a viva test can not exceed more than 10 % of the total mark. At the same time the viva test must be vidiographedâ€. Introducing the unemployed youths with reality, Nath said, “The candidates who deserve the posts they will only get the jobs from now. Only qualified candidates are welcome in this administrationâ€. However in case Police Dept, Jail and Fire Brigade recruitment, there will be written plus some tests like physical fitness. “It can sadden a section of people but there will not be any political influence in job recruitment for the sake of fairnessâ€, he said.
“From now the candidates who will qualify the written tests, only they will get the jobs, which means no Minister or political person can recommend anybody for jobs. In case of Group-D and Group C recruitment also, the jobs will be allocated through written tests”, the Minister added.
“10 % can be kept for in Viva tests for any interview. Not, only this, the whole viva interviews should be Vidographed !”, the Minister announced.
“The earlier recruitment system through TPSC may also be restored. The role of TPSC may be expanded but in that case also not above 10 % can be kept for viva under video-recording”, he said.
The Minister also said a new body like TPSC may also be set up for Group B, Group C, Group D recruitment excluding skill base jobs as driver, stenographer etc as separate ‘skill test’ along with written tests will be needed for those jobs.
In case of Police, Jail dept, Fire Service also along with written tests, medical and other tests will be mandatory.
“In case of teachers recruitment also there will be TET exam and no compromise”, the Law Minister said.
Unemployed youths at larger scale have expressed satisfactions with the transparent recruitment process's introduction led by the newly elected government.
