AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): BJP MLA Asish Saha on Friday meeting the Howarh river banks residents said, state govt is thinking for their permanent shelters and the Chief Minister has taken special interest in that issue.
“The dam construction work can not be stopped for anything. Before the monsoon, we need to take the work in hand”, Asish Saha told media.
“Every year due to monsoon, flood damages many houses. This time we are working to control the flood with the help of flood management committee and this work can not be delayed”, Asish Saha said.
“In total 10 sides the work will be done. Among these 10 sides, 3 to 4 places need to be cleared and thus Govt has taken decision to free the places for the dam construction work”, Asish Saha said.
“To solve the problem we have conducted meeting. We also talked to the locals, but the dam construction work can not be delayed”, Saha added.
“Now Govt is thinking how to save the locals. Govt’s intention is to continue the work by saving the people’s lives”, the MLA said.
