AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M to knock High Court on the demolition of party offices on govt lands.
Total 99 party offices have been targeted under the drive of the BJP Govt and all the party offices were built over govt lands.
CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, such office constructions on govt lands are very normal process across India. Even at Delhi, there are party offices built over govt lands.
CPI-M alleged that the whole drive was taken without Agartala Municipality’s permission alleging the IAS Millind Ramteke is nobody to lead such a drive.
CPI-M leader Gautam Das said, “The whole eviction was done without any permission from the AMC. Without Municipality’s permission how can a govt run demolition drive in Agartala”.
“Not only this, IAS Millind Ramteke who is an under transfer officer can’t lead such a drive. He has been appointed as the Add Secretary of Chief Minister”, Gautam Das said.
“In reality we were not served with any notice also. A press conference and immediate eviction can not be considered under law”, Gautam Das said.
The CPI-M has also condemned the govt’s drive to evict the poor people residing beside Howrah river in Agartala.
