AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Tripura Govt will benefit allowances to poor families where nobody is engaged in any job.
The family income of the beneficiary must be below 1 lakh rupees.
Right now in Tripura there are total 33 social pensions and among the social pension total 3 pensions are funded by central govt and 27 are run by the state govt.
Right now, all the social pensions are stopped for a temporary time as govt is doing verification of the beneficiaries eligibility to get the social pensions.
Following the 25 years of CPI-M regime many fake beneficiaries are now under suspects. However, the state govt is right now investigating the issues.
On the other side, opposition CPI-M has said, “For verification, there was no need of stop the pensions. Govt can punish the officials who allocated the names of the beneficiaries, but pension stopping means a crisis in that family”.
