Cultural exchanges among Tripura’s Ministers, Leaders on Rabindra Jayanti mark brotherhood

AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Amid allegations of clashes, infightings and tensions among IPFT and other parties, there was a cultural exchange of thoughts, dresses, ideas for the day to mark the celebration on Rabindra Jayanti.

Tripura tribal Minister of Social Welfare Dept wore Bengali attire known as ‘saree’ to mark Rabindra Jayanti, which gained much appreciation in the Rabindra Bhawan gathering.

All the state leaders during speeches mentioned repeatedly regarding the relation of Rabindranath Tagore with Tripura’s Royal family.

Tripura Kings always showed welcoming attitude to all cultures and relation with Bengali population has been parts of Tripura’s culture.

However, the Rabindra Jayanti was celebrated with full enthusiasm in Tripura today. Chief Minister Biplab Deb attended a programme at Rabindra Kanan and celebrated the occasion with children.

There were various other programmes conducted on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti across the state.

At the evening at Udaipur Old Royal Palace Rajarshi-fair to be started for long 3 days. Chief Minister Biplab Deb will inaugurate the fair.
