AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): A three days long rural fair in Hapania to be started from May 10.

The fair will be continued from Thursday to Saturday at there. Chief Minister Biplab Deb will inaugurate the fair at 4 pm, in a press conference SC Welfare Dept said.

This fair will be dedicated for Dr B R Ambedkar on his 128^th birth anniversary.

MLA Dilip Das, MLA Dilip Sarkar, SC Welfare Dept Principal Secretary L H Darlong, West DM Millind Ramteke will also be present on that occasion.

Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti is an annual festival observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar. It marks Ambedkar's birthday in 1891 and since 2015 is an official public holiday throughout India.
