UDAIPUR, September 3 (TIWN): Amidst protests and deputation from Congress and BJP, District Hospital of Gomati has been shifted to its new building in Tepania practically making the Tripura Sundari Sub Divisional Hospital a pure crematorium. Indeed cheating with the people of Udaipur administration has simply crippled the Sub Divisional Hospital in the name of shifting the District Hospital to Tepania. And almost the entire health care services have been closed in the Tripura Sundari Hospital . On Wednesday only 6 patients in the Maternity Ward are seen in this hospital and one new parties has been admitted. All the patients have been forcefully shifted to Tepania District Hospital. Up to 10.30pm machineries and equipments from Tripura Sundari Hospital are being transported to Tepania under tight police protection.

    Throughout the day Congress and BJP met the Chief Medical Officer several times to keep the facilities in Tripura Sundari Hospital as easier. But with preplanned decision administration and Hospital authorities practically Medical Superintendent Dr Debasish Roy got success in making the Tripura Sundari Hospital a silent graveyard with only some dogs sleeping on the empty halls of the hospital. Majority of the people of Udaipur are unhappy with the dictatorial decision of Health Department but none of the MLAs were seen to come to the aid of the people. Common people were seen shouting with words, " No one will come. MLAs are hiding in the air conditioned rooms in Agartala. They don't have to think for the common mass as they and their family members are being treated in AIIMS ,Delhi. Who cares for the local poor people? " Criticising the agitations of Congress and BJP the angry people said, " This are simply got up matches being played in broad day light with a clear intention of making the people fools. We are simply helpless and total anarchism prevails in the entire state."

     It is to be mentioned that on 12th June 2012 the then Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty addressed the people in the inaugural programme of Gomati District Hospital with the words, " From now onwards Tripura Sundari Hospital will work as a Sub Divisional Hospital and Gomati District Hospital will be a referral hospital with specialized doctors. I assure you all that not a single needle will be shifted from Tripura Sundari Hospital. All the existing facilities in Tripura Sundari Hospital will remain the same as earlier. Facilities in District Hospital will be created a new." Even a few days ago new Health Minister Basal Choudhury told the press in Udaipur, " Tripura Sundari Hospital will have the facilities that are expected to be in a Sub Divisional Hospital and in Tepania facilities will be created gradually as one can expect to get in a District Hospital." However, today everything proved wrong as Tripura Subdari Hospital is left with its old skulls and doctors and patients are not seen. Even laboratory has only the signboards.  

      Since morning DM Gomati Sonal Goel, ADM Gomati L T Darlong  DCM Sabyasachi Singh visited the Tripura Sundari Hospital and held talks with the CMO Dr Nirumohan Jamatia. But they did not get the 'Asli Boss'(real authority) Dr Debasish Roy, Medical Super. Meanwhile DM Gomati told the press , " We are looking into the matter and Tripura Sundari Hospital will remain the same with facilities prevailed earlier." But it is clear that even from today the hoslutal became a haunted house. With this decision Health Ministry cheated with the people of Udaipur. But the so called Peoples' Representatives(?) have spent the day in the safe shelters on air conditioned rooms and thus they have no time to stand by the people in time of their need.
