AGARTALA, April 11 (TIWN): With a major setback, Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar today following the state committee meeting said, "CPI-M's defeat in Tripura ofcourse has majorly harmed CPI-M's party strength at the national level but what were the actual causes of the defeat, we have discussed in brief in last two days". Bijan Dhar mentioned, "The IPFT-BJP alliance was the main cause of anti-CPI-M vote bank's majority, but at the same time how far govt's institutions, local bodies, social organizations could fulfill public demands under CPI-M Govt it has be inspected". The CPI-M State Secretary also said, "It was alleged that in many institutions and social organizations, in case of govt schemes launching, there were corruptions. At the same time there were political influence and polarization. But for that we have to do inquiry at the local level first and have to find out why it happened".
The state committee meeting which was held in the presence Prakash Karat basically discussed about the reasons behind Election defeats. Prakash Karat on yesterday after landing in Agartala held 2 days long state committee meeting at Melarmath Party headquarter.
The state committee declared that IPFT-BJP alliance was the major cause of CPI-M's defeat.
"The IPFT's promises bound a major section of tribals to think that after state division everything will belong to the tribals in Tipraland. All jobs will be for them and each facility will woo the tribals only", Dhar said.
Bijan Dhar at the same time accepted flaws in govt works and how various things went in the wrong direction under political colours.
However Bijan Dhar didn't miss to slam the media alleging, the media including FM was advertising for BJP till the election day.
