AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): CPI-M's close coterie of Police officials still manning key posts so overall Law & Order situation is still unsatisfactory even though few honest Police officials doing actual job of Policing. Bike theft is on rise at Agartala City regardless day and night. Under East Police station everyday bike theft complaints are lodged, but hardly the bikes can be recovered. Finally, with a huge development East Police have arrested 3 professional bike thieves who using wires steal the bikes even on broad day light. OC Kamal Krishna Koloi said, “East Police following a complaint of yesterday night of Sudhan Debnath began investigation and recovered his bike with no-TR01Y7946. Sudhan Debnath had parked his bike near Chandrapur mosque at around 10.30 PM when the bike was theft”. The 3 arrested persons in connection with the crime are : 1) Ashim Lodh (resident of Pratapgarh), 2) Abu Kayem (Boxonagar), 3) Bimal Das (resident of Joynagar).

Another scooty was also recovered by police. With the thieves master key, gloves, bike stealin wires  were found.

“The bike was new, which has been recovered. All the arrested persons are already under suspects since many days. Infact Bimal Das was absconding in another bike theft case”, the OC said.

“Now a days many bike theft cases are coming before police. We believe that police will find out all the culprits and after interrogating them, more names may come out”, the Police official said.

However, whereas only two bikes have been recovered many bikes are missing since over years. Recently at Banamalipur (College Tilla) was theft in broad day light, but till day police couldn’t recover it. Everyday there are bike theft complaints lodging in various police stations of Tripura.

Unless Chief Miister Biplab Deb transfers all CPI-M era's close coterie of officials from Police HQ and West District, Law & Order less likely to improve .

Most noted one is Dilip ray who managed to charm CM to become his OSD.

Agartala Law & Order must be handled by upright officials at ground level - otherwise lameduck State CID or CPI-M era officials will allow more crimes to happen in order to malign Biplab Deb Govt.
