AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Minister Ratan Lal Nath hitting the violence of Communists of last 25 years said, ‘Today BJP has assumed power, which wants to work for the people. Since 25 years CPI-M led violence and cadre-base ruling has ruined the state. Development doesn’t mean to feed the cadres and to sponsor violence against the opposition, our govt is 18 days old Govt, which has so many dreams. But we couldn’t forget how much we were insulted in this same Assembly Hall by the Communists, just because we were opposition and less in number. In the last Assembly also, Communist leader insulted us as much as they could. Now, where is Manik Dey and others today ? You pride has destroyed you. How many times I requested you to stop violence ? In folded hands I requested Manik Sarkr to restore peace.”

“This election was historical election, greater than West Bengal. At West Bengal after much attempts the CPI-M was defeated, but in Tripura BJP suddenly grew, just to expose the communists. “People of Tripura have broken Communists bones forever”, said Nath

Where is Manik Dey today, where is Pabitra Kar today and also Jharna Das Baidya ? I told them many times that it’s not Krishak Sabha, but it’s Bidhan-Sabha but in the last Assembly also they insulted us as much as he could”, Nath told the Assembly.

“If CPI-M had come in power then Tripura would see dead bodies and violence everywhere ! For whom you kept the ammunitions inside the party offices ?? You were thinking that CPI-M will come in power again and you kill thousands ? From Chanmohon Tripura to Gour Hari Molsom's murder, CPI-M's violence have been terrifying the state” , he added.

The Minister accused Manik Sarkar for responsible behind each violence. However in reply Manik Sarkar said, “In this situation when the Govt is very new, I can’t speak much. But it should be kept in mind that during elections, politicians say many things, which should be forgotten now. But after the election our party offices were burnt, people were attacked and till day the situation is not normal; a tense situation is going on allover the state. I request the Chief Minister to restore the peace as this is not a govt of a particular party but it’s a govt of people”.
