AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): After Health Minister Sudip Barman announced NHM is one of the four important parts of Tripura Health Dept, demands have raised for NHM's regularization. NHM employees in Tripura are sharing a lions parts of state's Health Service since 10 years, but fully deprived of regular wages, full wages, regularization and any extra facility. In CPI-M era, many protests were done by NHMs demanding their regularization but then then Health Minister Badal Choudhury was never ready to discuss about regularize them. The NHM workers were appointed since 2005 were used in various Depts under the Health Mission, but even after multiple protests, Tripura Govt never thought to regularize them. Now with the Govt’s change, a ray of hope has been emerged among the NHMs that state govt will regularize them.However, it has been long 10 years that the NHM employees are working for the Health Dept but till day Regularization is a dream only and the deserved salaries are not given to them regularly, which has fueled mass anger among the employees.

Tripura NRHM Employees Welfare Association members said, "Since 2005 the NHM Mission had started in Tripura. In 2007 the NRHM workers had been recruited under (State Health Welfare Society) but were working for NHM and in 2012 NRHM was modified into NHM and since 2007 many employees were recruited in various depts under Tripura Health Service, but the recruitments were under 11 months contract. After 11 months the workers are recontinued via new recruitment".

 As the NHM employees are the target of salary deviation, the Employees have raised Question, "Don't we have right to live in comfort ? There are 2300 employees working for NHM and if our demands are not fulfilled we will go in massive protest in coming days".

Recently, another serious allegation has come against Tripura health Dept for looting National Health Mission (NHM) funds.  With all these the NHMs to go in massive protest soon demanding regularization.
