6 major points which were discussed with Central Govt at Delhi

AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): The BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma have discussed these following issues with the respective dept's Ministers.

The issues of discussion and  demands are :

1) Rs. 350 crore was demanded to meet the committed liabilities of erstwhile special fund Assistance (SPA) which has been recommended by the NITI Ayog,

2) AIIMS like institution was demanded from the Prime Minister,

3) Completion of the Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas and setting up of IIIT in Tripura in PPP model was demanded from the HRD Minister,

4) Rs. 241 crore was assured to be sanctioned on urgent basis for rural development by Union RD Minister,

5) Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers assured full support of CIPET project which may provide direct employment of 5000 youths per year. This project will be completed within 2 months named ‘Ma Tripura Sundari CIPET’ project. There will be also a ‘Plastic Waste Management Centre’ near CIPET,

6) Minister of State Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha was told about the renaming of "Agartala Airport" as "Maharaja Bir Birkram Kishore Manikya Airport".
