AGARTALA, March 10 (TIWN): BJP led Tripura Govt after its first cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Saturday, held a press conference announcing about 7th Pay Commission. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has asked the Govt employees at the same time to be punctual and to complete everyday's work before leaving the office. Addressing the employees via media CM said, "The people who are in Govt jobs, I like to tell you to do your duty rightly, be time-bound, come to office in correct time and also complete everyday's work in time". "We need to develop the work-culture. I would not say, we don't have work-culture, but we should be more into that. Govt is by the people. After people have voted, then only Govt came in power. The Govt employees are those, via whom, the State Govt will work. You are the representatives of the Govt and thus I am calling all officials of each department to come in office in time and to be punctual".
The CM also said, "While working, if any officer is facing problems directly call me, but don't call me to complain against anything or anyone..... but if you face such critical problems, don't hesitate to call me".
Minister Pranajit Singha Roy told media, "At the first we picked up the 7th Pay commission issue in the cabinet today. A decision has been taken to form an Expert-Committee for the implementation and for the further discussion".
After the 7th Pay Commission was announced, celebrations have started across govt employees homes as after being paid under 4th pay commission during the CPI-M regime, their salaries will be jumped into at 7th pay commission after implementation.
Hundreds of calls are coming in TIWN Agartala Office to know the details of 7th pay commission. However, before the allocation of 7th pay commission, a committee will be formed, which will discuss the necessary issues related to the implementation.
