AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): West Bengal CPI-M has announced to launch a protest rally against the bulldozing of Lenin's statue at Belonia College zone in the Southern Tripura.
The rally to be conducted from Promod Dasgupta Bhawan to Dharmatala at 4.30 PM today.
However, after the bulldozing of Lenin's statue, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy tweeted, “What one democratically elected government can do another democratically elected government can undo. And vice versa".
In a tweet, Ram Madhav said, “People taking down Lenin’s statue. Not in Russia, it’s in Tripura….Cholo Paltai”.
A real video also became viral where it shows the statue, located in the College Square of the town, being teared down by people wearing ‘Chalo Paltai’ T-shirts and chanting “Bharat mata ki jai.”
