AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): When the name of Tripura itself is darkened at the national level with 'Rose Valley' and other chit fund scams, Tripura's Communists now are busy to hit Modi Govt on PNB scam, even though the scam was a creation of Congress-era and because of Modi Govt's anti-corruption drives, frauds like Nirav Modi are exposing everyday. CPI-M (L) activists have come in massive protest in front of Punjab National Bank in Agartala today. While showing agitation, CPI-M(L) Chief in Tripura Pratha Karmakar said, "On 25th January country's biggest National Bank Punjab National Bank was looted at the cost of Rs. 12,715 crores by Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Chaksi. Centering business of diamond and Jewellery, they have looted common men's hard-earned money".

"When the culprits had escaped in foreign after looting an Indian Bank, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained uttered silent on the issue. The parliament also have shown no liability to it. One after one banks are being looted and mostly by Gujarat businessmen", he added.

"Today country is undergoing a heavy crisis situation due to such negligence of the Modi Govt. In this condition how Banks can be privatized ? What is the guarantee of people's moneys are safe ?", he added.

"The main reason of India's down economy and national banks' pathetic condition is the rise of corporates only", he said.  On the other side, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar also alleged the rise of corporates are resulting in such disasters.

But question raises, when CPI-M is questioing on PM Modi's silence on PNB scam, it's silent about Manik Sarkar, Gautam Das's silence on Rose Valley tainted few CPI-M leaders.

Rose Valley Chit fund, which looted 14 lakhs people's savings, was one of the keys of BJP's politics against CPI-M and CBI has already interrogated Minister Bijita Nath, CPI-M topmost leader Gautam Das in this case. But in counterattacks CPI-M was mentioning about Sarada tainted Himanta Biswa Sarma and Mukul Roy like persons in BJP.

On June 29, 2017 CBI had interrogated Minister Bijita Nath for an hour and half at Civil Secretariat in her chamber. CPI-M topmost leader Gautam Das was also interrogated by CBI in his newspaper office. Minister Bijita Nath has been the chief accused among the ruling Govt for her active involvement in Rose Valley chit fund scam, who herself was a depositor of the company.CBI’s East Zone HQ Kolkata official Bratin Ghosh had interrogated her at Civil Secretariat. Recently BJP has written letters to CBI giving all evidences of Rose Valley, accusing Manik Sarkar’s chief involvement in chit fund scam but then due to election hours all proceedings have have postponed.

Now targeting PM Modi on National Bank scam, can CPI-M fool people, under whose regime 14 lakhs people's moneys were looted, especially the poor people's money.
