Training on first ever introduced ETPBS completed to polling personnel : Vote counting on Saturday

AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): Much awaited vote counting of Tripura Assembly Election will be conducted on Saturday and already central teams have arrived in state who will be residing here till March 3rd. In other two poll-bound states as Nagaland, Meghalaya also in the similar manner election commission's team have reached. CEO Sriram Taranikanti has also conducted a meeting with the DMs of 8 districts through video conference to provide training on Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS), which has been introduced first time in Tripura. ETPBS helps an entitled service voter to cast their vote using an electronically received postal ballot from anywhere outside their constituency. ETPBS is a fully secured system that was developed by the ECI with the help of C-DAC for the use of service voters.On the other side, securities across 20 locations of counting with 59 counting halls have kept tightened.

 The supervisors were also trained by the Election Commission through to conduct a flawless counting. Keeping the vote counting in front already DMs, SDMs, SPs held meeting with various political parties to dictate their roles and functioning during counting.At the same time, rules and regulations have been dictated to the party leaders as all party leaders to be present on the counting day.Total 59 counting halls have set for the March 3rd's vote-counting.

The counting will be conducted in Sectors, with 20 locations as follows :

1) Among the 20 sectors for West Tripura at Umakanta Academy the voting counting halls to be set.

2)  At Sepahijala Dist we have 2 counting halls : One is Sonamura another is Bishalgarh and 3rd one is Jampui Jala",

3) 3 counting centres will be at Gomati : One is at Udaipur, another is at Amarpur and the 3rd is at Korbook.

4) 3 counting centres at South Tripura are Belonia, Santir Bazar, Sabroom,

 5) At North Tripura we have 3 counting centres : Panisagara, Kanchanpur, Dharmanagar and in Uankoti the counting centres are Kailashahar, Kumarghat,

6) In Khowai Dist the counting centres are Khowai, Teliamura. In Dhalai Dist the  counting centres are : Kamalpur, Ambassa. Apart from that Jirania and Gandachara will have counting centres.

Election Commission has thanked Tripura voters, media, political parties for their cooperation to conduct a very Peaceful voting . CEO Sriram Taranikanti said, "Tripura has cited example of how to do peaceful voting".
