AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): The ruling CPI-M party and BJP have met in a clash at Banamalipur today afternoon following violation of model code of conduct by CPI-M.
An argument was created among CPI-M and BJP activists after in few posters CPI-M wrote “Locals” instead of “CPI-M” as Courtesy. BJP raised question whether any political party can mention about locals in their campaigning.
With this, a tremendous clash had emerged among BJP and CPI-M at there led few activists slightly injured on spot. However police, central forces' active involvement handled the situation immediately.
Police also removed CPI-M’s posters where they mentioned “Locals” instead of “CPI-M” as Courtesy.
BJP has filed an FIR against CPI-M activists, whereas CPI-M also said that an FIR to be filed against BJP for attacking CPI-M.
