AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): After BJP has announced its attractive election promises including 7th Pay Commission, free smart phones to youths, the Congress has now offered much more promises beyond logics. Even though Congress is not at Centre, but has promised allowances for youths, returning chit fund depositors' moneys. In a press conference Congress V. Narayanasamy, CM of Puducherry today has released its Election Manifesto of Tripura Congress at Agartala Congress Bhawan.
In the manifesto Congress mentioned to provide Quality Education, making students' English base more strong up to College level, introducing Kokborok in Roman words, Science and Computer training, vocational education, increasing numbers of Central Schools etc. The Congress has also promised to upgrade the health service of Tripura including filling up vacancies of the health dept and making the medicines available to the poor people.
Source of work and income to be increased, Rs. 300 minimum wages to be given to daily workers, filling up the vacancies, allowances for unemployed youths, jobs for over aged people, 7th Pay Commission etc are also in Congress's list.
On the social issues, the Congress Chief Minister of Puducherry said that crime against women will be deducted, developing the social environment, increasing the freedom of press, tribal welfare, upgrading tourism, rights for MNGREGA, food safety etc.
"Congress will not also make the Adhaar card as compulsory", said V. Narayanasamy to media.
"We will fight against corruption, to ease the transports, will convert the Agartala Airport name as Maharaja Vir Bikram Airport, to improve the water-ways etc", he added.
